Darshana De Zoysa, MD of Water World Lanka (Pvt) Ltd, turned his childhood passion for fish into Sri Lanka’s pioneering land-based marine entertainment venture. Located in Bollegala near Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, the five-acre site offers fun and educational experiences, attracting over 5,000 schools. Darshana, educated at Ananda College, pursued his hobby into adulthood, inspired by his father’s support and books from the library. His journey highlights how personal interests can drive successful entrepreneurship and workplace satisfaction.

Our mission at Water World Lanka Aquarium and Birdpark is to curate an enriching environment that showcases the diversity of aquatic life and avian species, while promoting conservation through education and engagement.
